A new chief executive will be welcomed at Treetops Hospice this week. Julie Heath, who has been on the board of trustees for 22 years, will take up her new role on November 1. She succeeds George Cameron who retires on Wednesday after nine years.

An organisation that provides a resource for elderly parents and relatives has hired a new regional manager. Karen Bond (or Kaz as she prefers to be known), who lives near Bridport, has joined Age Space UK as its regional manager for Dorset, and will be forging links with communities, organisations and businesses across the county.

The chair of Walsall’s healthcare trust has now also been appointed chair of the whg housing association based in the town. Danielle Oum replaces Mike Hew, who took over the position on an interim basis following the stepping down of Walsall North MP Eddie Hughes in June. She already has extensive experience in the sector haveing served on the boards of a number of other housing associations.

ConvaTec Group PLC (LON:CTEC) shares plunged 30% on Monday as it announced the resignation of chief executive Paul Moraviec and issued a profit warning after disappointing revenue in the third quarter. The medical products firm said Moraviec will step down as a director with immediate effect and Rick Anderson, a non-executive director of ConvaTec and former chairman of Johnson & Johnson, will be interim chief executive until a permanent replacement is found.
