Chesterfield-based care provider, Heathcotes Group, has appointed Tim Elliott as Regional Manager for its supported living services.

The deputy chief executive of the NHS trust running hospital and community services in north Cumbria is stepping down to run a non-profit social enterprise. Professor John Howarth MBE is moving on from his role with the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) to take up the role of chief executive of North Cumbria Primary Care, which runs 11 GP surgeries across north Cumbria on a non-profit basis. North Cumbria Primary Care was set up in January 2018 by Professor Howarth, and aims to improve GP recruitment and retention in the county with its non-profit business model. Professor Howarth is credited with an instrumental role in overseeing the merger of the two north Cumbrian NHS trusts – the North Cumbria University Hospitals trust and the Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation trust – in October last year.

Sky-House Co, a Sheffield-based house-builder, has recruited a new operations director. Ryan Ratcliffe previously ran his own contracting business in Leeds and latterly worked for Gleeson Homes. His appointment comes as Sky-House Co is forming a new HQ for the business at Centenary Works on the River Sheaf, with plans to grow the head office and technical teams to support its expansion. Work on Sky-House at the Waverley Regeneration site, close to both Rotherham and Sheffield, has continued throughout lockdown with the completion of 44 Sky-Houses, a 21st-century take on the traditional back-to-back Victorian house. Future projects include 40 riverside homes at Oughtibridge Mill and seven homes at Fox Valley, alongside phase two of the Waverley development, where a further 44 Sky-House homes will be built. The company is also currently in the process of acquiring a site for an additional 57 homes in Sheffield city centre. The Sky-House Co was founded by architect David Cross and accountant Philip Prince.

Blackstone-owned social housing provider Sage Housing has announced that its chief executive will soon be departing the organisation. Rod Cahill, who has led the organisation on an interim basis since April 2019, intends to step down in early autumn.
