Three executives have resigned from a newly merged housing association, including the man tipped to take over the organisation. Jake Berriman was deputy chief executive of 10,000-home Connexus Group but has left his post. Paul Sutton, director of assets and development at Connexus and Matthew Hill, head of development at the association’s construction arm Floreat Homes have also quit.

An education and training group which operates Newcastle College has strengthened its executive team with two appointments. NCG, which runs six colleges and national training providers Intraining and Rathbone, welcomes Mike Wilmot as chief finance officer and Karen Heaney as chief operating officer. Heaney joins NCG from one of the UK’s largest social housing and adult residential care providers, Home Group, where she was director of regeneration.
