Balhousie Care Group created three new roles among its most recent hires: Hospitality Services Manager, Head of Property Services, and Brand & Communications Manager. David Blackwood joins as Hospitality Services Manager from Meallmore. Alison Bennett is Balhousie Care’s new Head of Property Services and Gillian Drummond has been appointed as Brand and Communications Manager. Sarah Gordon has been appointed as Balhousie Care Group’s new Operations Manager. Amanda Sword is the new General Manager at Balhousie Coupar Angus.

A former Four Seasons care home worker has had been banned from practising after failing to disclose a previous conviction for malpractice. Cherylleigh Niven had been suspended and then sacked from her role at Four Seasons’ Craighead Nursing Home in Fife after choking a resident and exposing them to risk of injury by tilting their chair back and forcing them to drink liquid medication in June 2017. The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) removed Ms Niven from the care home worker register after finding she had failed to disclose her suspension and later dismissal, as well as a charge of criminal conduct.
