Michael McDonagh, who became chief executive of PA Housing in February, has taken up the temporary position at Housing 21 after previously being deputy chair. It comes after the 22,000-home landlord’s, Stephen Hughes, resigned last week after serving his “maximum term”, according to a filing with the stock market. Mr Hughes joined Housing 21’s board in 2014, becoming chair in September 2018. Under the landlord’s rules, the longest a board member can serve is nine years.
