A former nurse has been struck off after failing to administer medicine correctly to patients. Sheelakutty Jacob has been removed from the nursing register by a watchdog following a review. She had been working at Hamewith Lodge Nursing Home in Aberdeen at the time of the incidents and left her post in July 2014. The charges against her included 13 instances of her not recording she had administered medicine. Another incident involved Jacob writing down that she had given a patient medicine when she had not. The misconduct all took place in June or July 2013. Jacob had previously been suspended by the professional watchdog for 18 months while an investigation was carried out. This was then extended by another nine months.
