A care worker has been struck off from working in the sector after he manipulated an elderly lady into lending him £1000. David Ross was found to have “abused the trust and power” placed in his role after he manipulated a resident at Clyde Court Care Home by burdening her with his financial difficulties then asking her for a loan of £1000. Ross’ actions were clocked by care watchdogs before stood at the Social Services Council (SSSC) who detailed his misconduct at the care home.
