Genesis and Thames Valley Housing Association have appointed the designate leadership and governance team to carry forward their proposed merger. David Clayton-Smith, the current chair of Thames Valley, has been appointed as the chair of the shadow board which is overseeing the merger process. The vice-chair is David Turner, who is currently a Genesis board member and the senior independent director. The remaining shadow board appointments have been drawn from each association. The current shadow board will become the full board at formal merger in July. Neil Hadden has been appointed as chief executive designate and Geeta Nanda as deputy chief executive designate.

A paramedic has been struck off for failing to treat a man who collapsed in a hospital car park and later died. Andrew Davies was found guilty of misconduct by a health profession panel for not helping Carl Cope in the car park of Walsall Manor Hospital.

West of Scotland Housing Association (WSHA) has completed the appointment of its new corporate management team following the appointment of Lynne Donnelly as chief executive.

Burnfoot Hub manager Robert Duff has resigned after only six months in charge of the £2.4million facility. Mr Duff joined the hub from the Trust Housing Association, with whom he was business development manager.

LNT Group is to move Christine Cooper, currently managing director of LNT Construction, to its development subsidiary LNT Care Developments as project director.

The head of University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is leaving his role. Mark Hackett oversaw the merging of what was North Staffordshire and Stafford hospitals, and the formation of the new NHS Trust he runs.

Two senior solicitors have joined the social housing team at Hampshire law firm Blake Morgan. Tim Miles and Lisa Guelfi, who are both based at the firm’s Southampton office, arrived from Capsticks.

An extra care manager is being sought by West Kent Housing Association.
